We have compiled a list of the most common questions we get from groups and families visiting Thunder Rapids Amusement Park. If you don’t find the answer to your question below, please contact us for further assistance.

Q. What Are Your Hours?

Open 12PM - 8PM Daily (Weather Dependent)

Q. What Are Your Age And Height Restrictions?

Kiddie Karts – 3 to 5 years and minimum 40″ tall

 

Junior Karts – 6 to 8 years and minimum 44″ tall

 

Indy Single Karts – driver must be a minimum of 9 years old and 52″ tall

 

Indy Double Karts – driver must be a minimum of 16 years old


Thunder Karts – driver must be a minimum of 14 years old


Bumper Boats – minimum 44″ tall to be in the boat by themselves

Q. Do You Host Birthday Parties?

Yes! We would be happy to host your child’s special day and have a birthday package. Feel free to check it out or give us a call to know more.

Q. Do We Give Donations For Wedding Socials And Other Special Fundraising Events?

Yes! We’re always happy to support our local community by contributing some free passes for silent auctions. However, only when we are open for the season.


When we are open, you will have two options:


You can email your request to info@thunderrapids.ca and say you wish to pick up your donation when we have it ready.

 

OR


Mail in your request along with a self-addressed stamped envelope to Thunder Rapids, 5058 Portage Ave. Headingley MB, R4H 1E1. We will then mail out your free passes.


All donation requests must be submitted at least 1 month prior to the social event.

Q. What Kind Of Special Events Are Held At Thunder Rapids?

The Huntington Society has a very successful annual fundraising event in September on the 1st weekend after the Labour Day long weekend.

Q. How Can I Apply For A Job?

It’s best if you can come down in person to fill out an application form and bring in your resume.


If we’re not open for the season yet, you can either email us at info@thunderrapids.ca, send by fax, or mail in your resume.


We usually hire at least a few new part-time and full-time staff each season. Positions consist of mechanics, track and bumper boat personnel, and inside staff for concession and ticket sales.


It’s not just a great place to come and visit – it’s also a great place to work!
